Letter 4:

Impending Judgement

August 14, 2023

Revelation 2:18,29 (AMP)

“And to the angel (divine messenger) of the church in Thyatira write:

“These are the words of the Son of God, who has eyes [that flash] like a flame of fire [in righteous judgment], and whose feet are like burnished [white-hot] bronze:

‘I know your deeds, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your last deeds are more numerous and greater than the first. But I have this [charge] against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess [claiming to be inspired], and she teaches and misleads My bond-servants so that they commit [acts of sexual] immorality and eat food sacrificed to idols. I gave her time to repent [to change her inner self and her sinful way of thinking], but she has no desire to repent of her immorality and refuses to do so. Listen carefully, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her [I will bring] into great anguish, unless they repent of her deeds. And I will kill her children (followers) with pestilence [thoroughly annihilating them], and all the churches will know [without any doubt] that I am He who searches the minds and hearts [the innermost thoughts, purposes]; and I will give to each one of you [a reward or punishment] according to your deeds. But to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not explored and known the depths of Satan, as they call them–I place no other burden on you, except to hold tightly to what you have until I come. And he who overcomes [the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God] and who keeps My deeds [doing things that please Me] until the [very] end, to him I will give authority and power over the nations; and he shall shepherd and rule them with a rod of iron, as the earthen pots are broken in pieces, as I also have received authority [and power to rule them] from My Father; and I will give him the Morning Star. He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

The eyes of the Lord are watching all things intently and the fury that burns within His righteous anger will not be ignored. The very fire of His splendor and holiness will itself devour all that cannot withstand its flame. Though we may think He brings His fire to judge, His fire needs no commission to burn. For it will consume all that is in its path, be it holy or unholy, and only that which glorifies Him will withstand the burning. For He is an all consuming fire and wherever He goes His fire will consume. Let us remember that our lives are to bear honor to Him with fruits that glorify His name, as we are reminded that all who are His will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ. A judgment that is meant to be one of rewards, unless we fall short of His glory and suffer loss. Yet judgment is not only reserved for an appointed time, but is a constant looming tension that hovers over a world that is watched by a God who loves justice and witnesses all the evils committed by humanity. For even we the children of God, who are His Church, are warned of times of fire in this life as the Apostle Paul taught us in 1 Corinthians 3:9,18 (AMP):

For we are God’s fellow workers [His servants working together]; you are God’s cultivated field [His garden, His vineyard], God’s building. According to the [remarkable] grace of God which was given to me [to prepare me for my task], like a skillful master builder I laid a foundation, and now another is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it, for no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ. But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s works will be clearly shown [for what it is]; for the day [of judgment] will disclose it, because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality and character and worth of each person’s work. If any person’s work is burned up [by the test], he will suffer the loss [of his reward]; yet he himself will be saved, but only as [one who has barely escaped] through fire.

As His garden, are we littered with weeds that are choking out all our healthy and beautiful foliage? As His vineyard, are we separated from the vine as branches that are set to be cast into the fire? As His building, are we founded on sinking sands that are destined to collapse upon the arrival of the next storm?

Jesus Christ the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valley are the flowers that should be springing forth in our gardens. Jesus Christ alone is the only true Vine apart from which we can do nothing. Jesus Christ is the only Rock and Cornerstone on which our lives are meant to be built upon, and no other foundation will ever stand in His holy presence. For His presence alone will judge with fire, and woe to us who have called upon His coming and have not cleansed and purified ourselves for His arrival. Woe to every church and life that is separated from the Vine for it will not withstand His fire. And woe to every house that has been built according to man’s plans, for except the Lord build the house they who build it labor in vain.

This is our opportunity to judge ourselves that we would not be judged. For His fire will not lie, and only that which is worthy of glorifying His name will remain. We will suffer loss if we do not repent or prepare ourselves for His coming. We will give an account of the lives that we live to the Author of our lives. God will not be mocked by man who is but a vapor. He will not be overcome by nations who are but a drop in the bucket. He has set forth His measuring stick in giving us His word by which every man is called to line up against, and He insists that we line up ourselves accordingly. Or there will be a reckoning for taking lightly the redeeming blood of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. For:

Do you not know and understand that you [the church] are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells [permanently] in you [collectively and individually]? If anyone destroys the temple of God [corrupting it with false doctrine], God will destroy the destroyer; for the temple of God is holy (sacred), and that is what you are. Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool [discarding his worldly pretensions and acknowledging his lack of wisdom], so that he may become [truly] wise (1 Corinthians 3:16,18 AMP).

He said if we love Him then we would keep His commandments. If we love Him then we would not tolerate a false Christ to rise up in our midst and exalt itself against the excellency of our one and only true Christ. Not in our homes, and not in our churches. How then do we tolerate this error? Do we just not know Him, that we cannot spot the true from the false? Do we just fear man, and therefore let corruption and sin run rampant though God said He would judge those who defile His temple? Do we partner with what is corrupt because we too have corrupted ourselves? We must search our hearts and allow that light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ to shine upon us. For if we do not allow His light to reveal our darkness we will not escape the judgment that is coming. For it will be as a thief in the night, and many will say that they have time to get it right later, but then He will have come, bringing His holy fire with Him. For such is He, and loss will incur. What foolish notions we possess when we think that this life is for anything other than to be lived out for Him. What folly we enter into when we say He has blessed our paths though His Word speaks against that which our feet are walking in. What disgrace we make of the finished work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when we look the other direction avoiding His gaze because we think that He won’t mind that we ignore Him.

Look steadfast to yourselves for He is speaking to us now, Judgment is coming. Jesus is saying:

“For when I walk into the room there will be a change in the atmosphere. There will be a shift to holiness and a purging of all that which is unholy. Consider yourself lest you fall dead in sin and rebellion against Me. For I will not be mocked. What a man sows that will he also reap, lest he repent and make his life right with Me. For there will be nothing hidden that will not be revealed in the fire of My burning, and surely all things must burn if I am to release the smoke of My glory. For you have prayed, and you have asked for justice, and I will come to deliver. But have you not forgotten that judgment begins in My house where I am Lord? For man thinks that I will wait for Him to decide to make times and seasons to form Me to his will. But My will is fixed and I will not bend. For I am perfect and only those who conform themselves to Me will be fit and equipped to stand in the coming hours upon the earth. For there will be both marvelous and terrible things. There will be both mysteries and secret things revealed, and there will be a light of the gospel that will shine forth to the covering of the earth. For no man will fault Me for not giving them an opportunity. For I spread My arms out wide upon the cross that all may enter in and come to Me. Only return to the things that brought you to your knees before My face. Return to the doctrine that centered on Me as central and not as though I’m uninvolved in it. Return to all things that put Me front and center, for man has lusted after My glory, and many have been deprived of seeing My face because they perverted My message. So I will cleanse My houses and will come and give inspections, and woe to those who take lightly My words. For I am cleansing My house. I am establishing God fearing order again in My house. That no man will again say “yes” or “no” for Me. But that all will cry out to know and to accomplish in asking, “What does the Lord say? And only that will we do.” So now I will unroll many of My houses as though I fling forth a blanket. For homosexuality has buried its sins in the fabric of many houses. And you will see flying wonders as they are cast in the streets to be exposed before all to see. That man may know that I watch over My house. I am a God of Justice. I will not partner with that which cost My blood, that which I’ve washed man of, and I will not apologize for being perfect. For I am God, and I find no fault with Myself. Had I a fault, what man is there who could tell Me? So now I tell you, inspect yourselves closely. Walk holy and chaste before Me. And when I come to accomplish mass cleansing in My house you will be left standing in the thickness of My glory. For the hour is short. It is the time. But I will not have My glory in houses that are not worthy to hold it. Only those who have My heart and I have theirs will be able to carry this. So prepare yourselves now, that you might behold Me and that I might behold you. That you may walk with Me in this glorious hour that is coming upon the earth through My freshly purified Church.”

Isaiah 29:15,24 (AMP)

Woe (judgment is coming) to those who [try to] deeply hide their plans from the Lord, Whose deeds are done in a dark place, And who say, “Who sees us?” or “Who knows us?” You turn things upside down [with your perversity]! Shall the potter be considered equal with the clay, that the thing that is made would say to its maker, “He has no understanding”? Is it not yet a very little while until Lebanon will be turned into a fertile field, and the fertile field regarded as a forest? On that day the deaf will hear the words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see [the words of the book]. The afflicted also will increase their joy in the Lord, and the needy of mankind will rejoice and celebrate in the Holy One of Israel. For the tyrant will come to an end and the scorner will be finished, indeed all who are intent on doing evil will be cut off–those who cause a person to be condemned with a [false] word, and lay a trap for him who upholds justice at the [city] gate, and defraud the one in the right with meaningless arguments. Therefore, the Lord, who redeemed Abraham [from paganism] says this, concerning the house of Jacob (Israel):

“Jacob will not be ashamed, nor will his face turn pale [with disappointment because of his children’s degenerate behavior]; For when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in his midst, They will sanctify My Name; They will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob and will stand in awe and reverent fear of the God of Israel. Those who err in mind will know the truth, and those who criticize and murmur discontentedly will accept instruction.”
