Letter 11:
Redemption of Time in Life
November 18, 2023
A love letter to the Church to stir our hearts as God is reviewing our intentions and how we spend our time.
John 6:63b NKJV
The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
Psalm 63:1,8 GOD”S WORD Translation
O God, you are my God.
At dawn I search for you.
My soul thirsts for you.
My body longs for you
in a dry, parched land where there is no water.
So I look for you in the holy place
to see your power and your glory.
My lips will praise you
because your mercy is better than life ⌞itself⌟.
So I will thank you as long as I live.
I will lift up my hands ⌞to pray⌟ in your name.
You satisfy my soul with the richest foods.
My mouth will sing ⌞your⌟ praise with joyful lips.
As I lie on my bed, I remember you.
Through the long hours of the night, I think about you.
You have been my help.
In the shadow of your wings, I sing joyfully.
My soul clings to you.
Your right hand supports me.
When we recall Jesus dying on the cross, the Bible says at dawn the women went to seek the Lord at His tomb. Having spices they prepared to anoint Him in burial, they cared not of potential defilement as was customary in the law. They were pulled by their hearts out of bed to meet with Him. If in fact, they had even managed to sleep at all. They were still drawn to the life in Him, longing to touch Him even in death. Longing to visit with Him though He was wrapped in burial cloth. For His life and love for them was still calling to them from the grave. Beckoning for them to come and meet Him, as their love cannot keep them away. They valued the life that could only be found in His presence (Mark 16:1,11).
For even as a dead man, He was Life. And He alone has the name that gives eternal Life to all who call upon it. This Jesus, who is the savior of the world, was appointed to die for all the sins of mankind. His appointing before the foundations of the earth. His life being so incandescent, that even those who saturated themselves in Him raised others from death. One of them being Elijah, whose dead body was permeating with the very life of God. Whose very bones were radiating with this life, that they raised the dead man who was tossed in his grave from death (2 Kings 13:20,21). How much more life was resident in the One who is the only Way, the Truth, and the Life even in death?
These women came early looking for Life. They arrived seeking first the Life which is the light of men (John 1:4). These women knew Jesus raised others from death, yet still they expected to find Him dead in the tomb. They were shocked to arrive and find the stone was rolled away and His grave emptied. Then, they saw and heard the herald of two angels who responded to their state of perplexity, “Why are you looking for the living One among the dead? He is not here, but has risen. Remember how He told you, while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise [from death to life].” And they remembered His words (Luke 24:1-8 AMP).
Transference of Life comes to those who prioritize time with Jesus. Those who come to the Author of the book that is all about Him. Even when the words on the pages of this book, called the Bible, may not appear to be containers of life at all. In this transference of life comes revelation of the words He has spoken. We see the women who came to Jesus were given a supernatural explanation of the events and things He had previously said. But, their longing was for Him. They didn’t come for an explanation, they came for an encounter with Life. They came to be close, and they came to be near Him.
Mary Magdalene was one of these women. She was devastated not knowing where to find the body of her Lord. Her face covered in tears as she wondered where Life had gone. Her heart aching in desire to find Him, and heavy with despair in not knowing what to do. So thick was the fog of her mind and boisterous were the thundering of her emotions, that she did not recognize Him when He stood before her and said, “Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you seeking?” She thought He was a gardener, and begged the man to tell her where Jesus’ body was. The One she was yearning for was alive, and He was there. Though she spoke with Him, she didn’t see Him until He called her by name saying, “Mary!” (John 20).
Jesus is ever speaking, but it’s time we hear Him call our name. Are we ones who are running after Life in desperate pursuit to find Him? Do tears stream down our face in longing to be near Him? Are we ones who are losing our life that we might gain our purpose for life from Him? Are we ones who come to the pages of His book to hunt for the treasures of His heart hidden within?
Jesus is saying to us:
There is a rest and a refreshing that comes only from My presence, but it is only poured out upon those whose hearts are poured out to Me.
And though many may say that My Word is just the letters on a page and view them as puzzles and riddles too hard to understand, they lose interest because they are so purposed for the pursuit of entertainment that they see without seeing Me. And they come and hear only in parables, yet never understand Me because understanding comes from time spent with Me. It comes to the heart that is in sole pursuit of Me.
But in finding Me, you do not only find understanding, rest, and refreshing. You learn what it is to live in My secret place. The place where life is lived from Me, not just for Me. The place where My heavenly world is your heavenly world. The realm where what is on earth and in heaven marries each other, uniting in a life lived out as one.
So those who choose Me above all else will know not only My secrets, but also My secret places. And You will not just receive of My heart, but of all that is held within My hands for you.
And so I was rejected by the multitude who came only that I might feed them a meal from supernatural multiplication (John 6:22,69) because they wanted what I can give them. They did not accept Me as I AM. And I AM your purpose for everything, but in Me are all things. And in Me, all things are yours.
And the Spirit of God speaks for Them and says:
There are those who think that We do not see how people spend their time, and on where they place their intentions. For some will say, “God honors what time you are able to give Him.” But does not Our word say: to seek Us while We may be found, to search after Us with all of your hearts, early will I rise up and seek you, and in the night will I lay down in thoughts of you? For man spends his time in the worst state of neglect and idleness, and time is consumed then on much waste.
So We will begin to hold men accountable to being faithful stewards of their time. For all men are given the same 24 hours in a day. And in this time of being held accountable as to how time is spent, We will release a special grace of redemption of time to those who acknowledge Our viewing of how they spend it.
For this time in history marks an acceleration of Our purposes in the earth as yet to be seen. And for those who set their affections and hearts after Our purposes in the earth, will We endow with a special grace to accomplish more in 24 hours than those who waste it will accomplish within a year's time.
For Our purposes will go forward unchecked by those who do not align themselves with it. And for those who do align themselves with Our purposes, they will be those who redeem the time on earth by Our grace. That We might have what We want accomplished within this hour completed.
Jeremiah 29:11b,14a AMP
“I will visit (inspect) you and keep My good promise to you, to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,’ says the Lord, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and I will [free you].”
I offer a prayer for us on things the Lord has said:
Glorious Father,
I pray we all understand there is a longing in Your heart to connect with us. I pray we see that You created and birthed us into existence from Your heart and mind to be loved and adored by You. I ask that we recognize that we were created to know you and to fellowship with you. That we’d understand this was not meant to be a mystery or hard, but our normal conduct of life.
Father, if anything within us is frustrating our ability to hear You and enter into Your presence, help in Jesus name! Work now to remove, lift, medicate, heal, restore, and do whatever You deem necessary and needed. Warm the cold places of doubt and unbelief that may be present, in some measure, that lie to us saying You cannot truly be known.
I call forth an awakening to tenderness in our heart to a new level of receptivity to Your love for us in Jesus name. Since none of us has yet to plunge to the fullest depths of Your love, we accept more love now. We accept You welcoming us into a greater measure of being embraced by You, and ask that You give us continued experiential knowledge in Your loving us.
From this place Father God, draw us with hunger to seek You in the pages of scripture and saturate us with Your life. Please help us by Your Spirit to be faithful stewards of the time You’ve given us, and help us keep the motives and intentions of our hearts rightly aligned with Yours.
In Jesus name - Amen
Psalm 63:1,8 TPT
O God of my life, I’m lovesick for you in this weary wilderness.
I thirst with the deepest longing to love you more,
with cravings in my heart that can’t be described.
Such yearning grips my soul for you, my God!
I’m energized every time I enter
your heavenly sanctuary to seek more of your power
and drink in more of your glory.
For your tender mercies mean more to me than life itself.
How I love and praise you, God!
Daily I will worship you passionately and with all my heart.
My arms will wave to you like banners of praise.
I overflow with praise when I come before you,
for the anointing of your presence satisfies me like nothing else.
You are such a rich banquet of pleasure to my soul.
I lie awake every night thinking of you
and reflecting on how you help me like a father.
I sing through the night under your splendor-shadow,
offering up to you my songs of delight and joy!
With passion I pursue and cling to you.
Because I feel your grip on my life,
I keep my soul close to your heart.
